The Mediterraneanport douglas is a short walk to magnificent Four Mile Beach and the cosmopolitan heart of Port Douglas, Macrossan Street.  

There are restaurants, shops, golf courses and a country club/gymnasium within five minutes walk and there is a local shuttle bus stop at the door.  The local bus service completes a circuit of Port Douglas every quarter of an hour (for a small fee), commencing at 7.00am each morning and stopping at 12.00am the following morning.
